Rear Corner Eyelid Surgery Review
I decided to get rear corner eyelid surgery for a few reasons. First, I didn’t like how my eye corners were raised too much. Even with eyeliner, it didn’t look right. I feel that a more "puppy-eyed" look suits women better, but not too much either! There’s a limit to how much you can lower the corners of the eyes, and I wanted a balanced look. Secondly, the outer corners of my eyes seemed a bit too short and a little stuffy compared to the inner corners. I wanted my eyes to look longer and more refreshed, so that’s why I decided to go for this surgery.
The procedure was done with both lateral and inferior canthoplasty (side and bottom eyelid incision). The doctor explained that the ligament at the corner of my eye would be fixed, preventing any unwanted attachment or issues.
Since I tend to swell a lot and bruise easily, I had to fight with some swelling and bruising more than others. The conjunctiva also swelled, and my eyes were a little red. At first, I didn’t notice much difference, and I was waiting for the redness to go away. But eventually, the results were incredible! My eyes became noticeably bigger and more beautiful. My friends didn’t even realize I had the surgery, but they noticed something had changed for the better!
Although I was worried at first, I now love the results! My boyfriend didn’t want me to do it at first, but now he’s happy I did! A friend of mine also got the surgery after I recommended it, and she didn’t experience much swelling at all—just some slight conjunctival swelling. It seems like people’s recovery experiences vary, but it doesn’t take as long to recover as I initially thought.
The surgery has really boosted my confidence! I feel so much better about my appearance. I’m really grateful to the doctor and all the staff for their continuous support and care. I asked a lot of questions, and they answered kindly every time. Now, I’m even thinking about getting a nose job! My friend got both the eyelid surgery and a nose revision, and she looks amazing, so I’m a little envious.
